Award Construction Contract to JFL Electric, Inc., for Fiber Optic Communication System Upgrade, PW18-05

recommendation

That the City Council:

 

1. Award a construction contract to JFL Electric, Inc., in the amount of $690,340.50, for the Fiber Optic Communication System Upgrade, PW18-05; and

 

2. Authorize the City Manager to approve change orders not to exceed the contingency amount of $69,034.05, which is equal to 10% of the contract amount; and

 

3. Make a finding that the Fiber Optic Communication System Upgrade, PW18-05, is exempt from Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (MSHCP) fees.
